ChooChooTracker is a FOSS project to build the tracker we wanted on our mobile consoles.
We are a collaborative project, shaped by its contributors: behind the software is a group of passionate people with a love for trackers and small interfaces.
The first prototype was coded on a train between Cahors and Montauban. I wanted a small tracker with big modern sound design options, something that could sound like the gear I use at home, to make techno while I was away from the studio.
I quickly realized this would have the potential to provoke happy accidents and be a very playful music app, something I would want to have in my backpack all the time.
A few weeks after my first proof of concept, I received a PR on Github, then another, then another one. Other people found the project interesting, and things got to where we are now (50 stars on Github!!!). Join us on Discord for a chat!
